1.The auther says that even though she feels at home in the multi-cultural mix of Hawaii, she is still drawn to China and wants to spend time there to discover who she really is. Why do you think she feels this way? Do you think coming to term with your own cultural identity is important? Why or why not?
Surely, if she lives in the multi-cultural mix of Hawaii, she will never feel uncomfortable. But I think she would like to make an effort to be more familiar with her Chinese side and experience a lot of attainment, such as blending in like a native, living almost without a difficulty and so on, she gets after she overcomes lack of experiences. What living in China brings to her is big. Above all, I think she wants to know what she is newly. Maybe, she takes delight in finding new herself for getting broad choices of thinking.
If I come to terms with necessary of my own cultual identity, I can comprehend hearts of people in my country smoothly. To establish relation of confidence with each other, it is important to co-understand the others. But there are also people who have multi-cultual identity. I don't think that they don't establish relation of confidence because they have different cultual identity. So.........I don't think coming to terms with my own cultual identity is important.
